MODL, the modular data logger was developed to abate the high cost of logging data in the educational environment. Multi-input loggers are generally between £200-£1000 for a moderate accuracy device.
The data logger was developed as a shield that attaches to any low cost Arduino Uno. A custom circuit board was designed in Eagle and printed using a circuit board router.
The board and accompanying firmware supports the input of up to 6 high accuracy, 1-wire sensors, each of which is automatically recognised when plugged in. Data is recorded to SD card. £16 ea.
